It was a much better day than yesterday. We went four hours without power so I really learned to appreciate some basic parts of my day. It was so nice today to be able to use the bathroom across the hall! Using a flashlight to go in there was crazy!

Today was a good day, only three weeks left until vacation. Looking forward to American Idol tonight. Pathetic huh?

The day was great until I had to see one of my co-worker that just aggrevated me.

Normally the last class of the day can be a bit of a strain. Students are antsy, probably because they cannot wait to go home and start their homework, he he :-). A student who is normally a bit hyperactive and tends to speak out of turn pleasantly surprised me! This student was "on" today. Everytime he had a comment or an answer to a question, he rasied his hand. You could tell he could not wait to speak but he remained silent until called upon. His behavior and participation was great. Furthermore, he consistently provided correct answers or useful comments. What a great way to end my, and his, day!

I had this strange feeling that the teacher center course I was scheduled for was going to be at a different location than what I thought. I got to school, checked their website and I was correct. This kind of annoyed me because I didn't get an email, but my co-worker did. One little thing such as a "nonexistent email" changed my whole day. I had to call my husband and inform him and that plans had changed. I had to email the whole staff at school and ask if any other teacher was taking the class so that I could carpool with them. Luckily for me, I found another person right down the hall who could help me out. However, one little oversight on someone's part had affected my day quite a bit. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but as a teacher I am always reinforcing the point to my students that everything they do affects others (sometimes in ways they cannot even begin to know).

Well, to tell the truth, I got up late which started my day off on a bad note. It was not the fault of my clock, although the sound every morning makes me want to throw it accross the room. I just for some reason could not get up! I must have snoozed my clock about four times. Looking back at what I did the night before, I guess I did stay up a little late.
